Is it harder for women to lose weight compared to men?

If as a woman you feel that when you go on a diet and exercise mission to lose weight with your male partner, he starts to achieve his goal ahead of you, as similar as women and men can be in so many ways, in this aspect, apparently women's bodies work differently.  University of Missouri researchers have concluded that men's bodies respond better to diet and exercise.  The scientists also found that overweight women must also reduce their calorie consumption -- in other words, give up their cupcakes and chocolate -- while guys can get away with just hitting the gym.
